Heathrow is just one of four significant international airports in the London area, but has remained the capital’s primary hub due to consistent investment. Despite teething troubles in the first month, the ?4.5 bn Terminal Five (Home to British Airways international flights - including Heathrow to Toronto) is now fully operational. It is one of the best connected terminals, with over 100 shops and outlets.

Flights from London Heathrow to Toronto are available from British Airways and Air Canada. British Airways currently normally offer around twenty flights per week, whilst Air Canada operate around thirty flights per week.
Toronto Airport
Flights to Toronto from the UK bring you to Toronto Pearson International Airport, named after Nobel Prize recipient, former Canadian Prime Minister Lester Pearson. This is a top thirty international airport by flight numbers, currently carrying over 400,000 flights per year. The airport was first developed in the 1930s, before being acquired for service during the Second World War. Continued expansion has left the airport currently with five runways, and it is the busiest airport in Canada.
Parking facilities in and around Toronto Airport
The airport has parking spaces available at each terminal. There is also a valet service for Terminal Oneat a lower rate car park located just off site. Accessible spaces are available with easier access to each terminal, and there is a reduced rate for those legitimately using these spaces. The front of the terminals offer space to drop off and pick up passengers, although drivers must not stop for an extended period or leave the vehicle at any point.
Airport distance from Toronto and other notable surrounding locations
The airport is located 17 miles north of the inner Toronto, and is much closer to the city of Mississauga, one of the fastest growing cities in Canada. An increasing number of services have chosen to locate in Mississauga as well as (or instead of) Toronto due to its lower costs and proximity to the airport. There are now an excellent level of leisure facilities in the city, and the city has become noted for its contemporary architecture.
Transport links to Toronto
The airport is connected to the trunk road network at routes 427 and 409, clearly sign posted for the airport. The three main bus options to the airport are services from the Toronto Transit Commission (with 192, 58A and 307 serving links to that city), Mississauga Transit services (operating the number 7 service to that city) and also the Airport Express service from Toronto, operated by Pacific Western. This final service is the most popular for central Toronto, and operates at least 20 hours a day, with services every twenty to thirty minutes.

Terminals one and three both have Wi Fi networks available, which can be accessed via your own provider if they have a roaming agreement or by pay as you go, payable by card. Hotels adjacent to the airport offer meeting facilities, for example the Days Hotel has 16 private meeting rooms and a 500 capacity conference suite.
